Recycle BC’s Blue Box Program

Sooke resident’s have access to the free province-wide recycling program, commonly known as the Blue Box Program. This program, led by Recycle BC, provides residential collection pick up services for household paper and packaging materials, including:

  1. Paper, boxboard and cardboard

  2. Metal, plastic and paper containers

  3. Glass bottles and jars

In Sooke, this service is provided by GFL Environmental.

Composting / Green Bin Collection Services

Community Composting - Receive a 20L bag of composted soil every 4 weeks

Community Composting delivers a compost cart for your yard. You simply deposit your organic waste into the cart. The cart is emptied every four weeks on a scheduled pickup day for your neighbourhood. You will also receive a 20 Litre bag of composted soil with each pick up.
