Zero Waste Sooke - Dishes Out Loan Program
The Zero Waste Sooke Dishes Out Loan Program is intended to support the citizens living in the Sooke region, and nearby neighbourhoods (e.g., East Sooke, Otter Point, Shirley, Port Renfrew), by lending dishes on a short-term basis to interested community groups with the objectives of preventing waste, supporting accessibility, and reducing financial costs across the community.
Currently, only dishes such as mugs, cutlery and small plates are available to borrow by donation.

District of Sooke and Zero Waste Sooke - Community Clean Up Kits
The District of Sooke, in partnership with Zero Waste Sooke, is pleased to offer Community Clean Up Kits for residents and organizations looking for an easy and impactful way to give back.
These kits are free to borrow, and can be picked up at the District of Sooke Municipal Hall during regular office hours. To request a kit email info@sooke.ca or call 250.642.1634. Together let’s keep Sooke beautiful!
The Community Clean Up Kits include:
litter pickers,
gloves,
safety vests, and,
garbage bags.

The cupboard provides medical equipment suitable for home care needs.
Equipment pick-up and drop-off are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

The cupboard is not staffed full time. Call the pager and leave your phone number. A volunteer will return your call and will make an appointment for a mutually convenient time to meet at the loan cupboard. Fees collected provide for equipment cleaning, repair and replacement.
